FAQ
- Do I need Roblox to play?
- No. Afterlight is its own standalone client, completely separate from Roblox.
- Can the game go down?
- Not really. There aren't any central servers. You host your own game, so it's up whenever you are.
- How do I play with friends?
- One person hosts a game and shares the join code. Friends connect over LAN, a LAN VPN like Radmin VPN, ZeroTier or Hamachi.
- My friend can't connect over LAN. What now?
- Both of you install the same LAN VPN (Radmin VPN, ZeroTier or Hamachi), join the same network on it, then connect like normal LAN.
- Can random people join my game?
- No. Games are protected with a join code, so only people you give it to can get in.
- Is there a mobile version?
- There were prototypes- but then we realized nobody would actually use them. Afterlight is Windows only.
- Where do I go for help?
- Ask in the Discord.
